What about the Smart Working Award?

The Smart Working Award is a contest organized by the Osservatori Digital Innovation of the Politecnico di Milano, which rewards organizations that have implemented initiatives to redesign work methods and spaces in hybrid or remote mode.

Smart working means a managerial philosophy aimed at giving autonomy and flexibility to people in the choice of spaces, times and tools that generate greater commitment to results.

What Smart Working means in Storeis

In the 2022 edition, we were the winners of the Smart Working Award in the SME category for having managed smart working as an integral part of the corporate organizational model.

In fact, at Storeis we have always adopted remote work policies and very powerful labor flexibility, allowing our staff to work from home for at least three days a week or to manage their duties for longer periods of time from remotely in a country of their choice, thus implementing a permanent work-from-anywhere policy.

At the same time, to facilitate colleagues who have the pleasure of working in presence but live far from our headquarters in Padua, we have made free-of-charge accommodation available: you just need to reserve your place and you can stay for a few days just a walk away from the office.

Working in Storeis: a new concept of Hybrid Workplace

Although we love smart working, we believe that the office remains an important place to strengthen relationships and live corporate values. This is why our headquarters is based in Padua in a historic building from the 1700s. These spaces have been designed to ease new hybrid ways of working and are inspired by 4 principles in line with our corporate values:

• Generate positive impact (on people, on the city)
• Rediscover conviviality
• Improve collaboration
• Let creativity flow

In fact:

• Less than a third of the entire surface is dedicated to desks and workstations, while the remaining areas have been designed to stimulate creativity, collaboration, and play
• Among these: a games room with table tennis, table football, Playstation, beer dispensers, hammocks, and a large kitchen
• The desks are customizable in height and on wheels to be able to reconfigure the environments in spaces for internal events and trainings
• The desks are by reservation to facilitate the configuration of the teams according to the assigned projects
• Numerous meeting rooms and phone booths are available for meetings and calls.
