Boosting Online Sales through advanced Digital Analytics

Rinascimento is a women’s fashion brand, Made in Italy, that stands out for its vast selection of clothes and fashion accessories.

Since 2000, the brand has been designing collections with a strong attention to detail. Today Rinascimento, part of the Teddy Group, is distributed in over 7000 points of sale, in Italy and abroad, and features 54 monobrand stores and 37 Rinascimento Fits.

1. Project Goals

Our collaboration with Rinascimento focused on the improvement of digital performance with particular attention to the online store, and specifically the following objectives:

    Increasing ecommerce performance while keeping marketing costs within a preset budget

    Improving visibility and control over online business KPIs

    Consolidating ecommerce marketing skills of the in-house team

2. Approach

The first phase focused on organizing existing data, which allowed us to:

  • Standardize the data and combine together different sources
  • Achieve greater control over business using effective dashboards for strategic decisions

By setting-up a shared path of business growth, we could contribute to the mentoring and training of the Rinascimento in-house team thanks to:

  • +150 hours invested in training
  • Business Reviews every quarter
  • 4 dedicated workshop in a year
  • Support for the growth of the in-house digital team: +3 people for a year and a new organizational setup

The milestones established during the project (business reviews and ad hoc analysis) in cooperation with the Rinascimento’s in-house team allowed us to:

  • Assess the project respect to the forecast and comment the results achieved up to that point
  • Identify critical points emerged along the way and define fast solutions to resolve them
  • Define tactical activities to implement corrective actions respect to the forecast if needed
  • Define the subsequent steps to follow

3. Key Wins

The main results achieved included:

  • 23% revenue increase per year with an impact on advertising costs below the benchmark of reference 
  • Online annual sales as a percentage of overall business turnover increased by 30% (the YOY growth rate of ecommerce is higher than retail)
  • Immediate resolution of issues
  • With more than 150 hours of training the Rinascimento team’s digital skills were expanded and operational management processes improved

 

 

+38% Revenue recovered thanks to stock control (over a period of 2 months)
